The Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach ABC Stores have returned to their regular opening hours of 10AM-8PM!

Labor Day is a day to celebrate America’s workers. We’d like to thank each and every one of our employees for their earnest commitment to serve our community day in and day out.

Our staff plays a vital role in keeping liquor out of the hands of minors, and with each bottle they unpack, shelve, straighten, and ring up, they’re helping to provide valuable community investments to local governments, alcohol law enforcement, and nonprofit organizations fighting the battle to reduce alcohol and substance abuse in our community.

We wish our staff, and all workers of America, a safe and rejuvenating !

The NC Governor's Highway Safety Program’s Labor Day Booze it and Lose it campaign is underway. Through September 8, local and state law enforcement will be conducting enhanced patrols and increased checkpoints throughout North Carolina in an effort to curb drinking and driving. Stay safe, make good choices, and ALWAYS secure a safe ride home when drinking.

All New Hanover County ABC Stores will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, 2024 in observance of Labor Day.

**THIS SATURDAY** The Wrightsville Beach ABC Store will be hosting a complimentary tasting and bottle engraving event this Saturday, August 31st from 2-5:30pm! “Drink Responsibly” is a phrase we’re all used to hearing. But what does it really mean?

When drinking, moderating to one Standard Drink per hour is a great place to start. This gives the liver time to do its job in keeping unmetabolized alcohol out of the bloodstream, maintaining a lower BAC and preventing intoxication.

If you miss our call, you will have 24 hours to call us back. The calling process will not be stopped—if we hit a voicemail, we will leave a message and continue on down the list. Bottle pick-up instructions will be communicated over the phone with selected entrants.

The entry form for our July 2024 lottery is now open! You have until Wednesday, July 24th at 4pm to submit your entry. Please review the lottery guidelines closely to determine your eligibility. You can find the entry form here: https://www.newhanovercountyabc.com/lottery/

As a reminder, submitting duplicate entries is grounds for complete disqualification from the lottery. If you feel you may have submitted a duplicate entry in error, let us know via Facebook Messenger and we'll take care of it!

Our June 2024 Lottery was so much fun that we decided to do it all over again! The entry form for the ✨July✨ 2024 Bourbon Lottery will open on Monday, July 22nd at 9am and close on Wednesday, July 24 at 4pm.

All rules and eligibility requirements will remain as they were, with some updates to the entry form:

• Entrants will now receive an automatic email confirmation after submitting their online entry form. No need to check a box this time!

• Entrants will now type birthdates directly into the entry form (as opposed to using the Calendar date feature). The form will prompt entrants to submit birthdates using the MM/DD/YYYY format.

Over the past week, our friends in the NHC ABC warehouse touched over 27,000 cases of liquor, packed up and delivered 14 loaded trucks throughout the county, and did it all with a smile! They achieve what they do through unyielding grit and professionalism, always rising to the occasion to get the job done. Coming to New Hanover County ABC Stores this week, the Heaven Hill Grain to Glass collection! The Kentucky straight bourbon, wheated bourbon, and rye whiskies will be available in stores by 3pm on each day. We hope you love 'em.
