𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝟐-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞

In preparation for the upcoming Palarong Pambansa 2026, the students, faculty, and staff of Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades conducted a two-day clean-up drive on May 15–16, 2026.

As an official playing venue for Sepak Takraw and Football, ASSAT actively mobilized its academic community to ensure that the campus is clean, organized, and ready to welcome athletes, delegates, and visitors from across the country.

The activity reflected the spirit of teamwork, volunteerism, and shared responsibility, demonstrating ASSAT’s commitment to providing a safe, orderly, and hospitable environment for the conduct of the national sporting event.

Congratulations to the Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades for its outstanding performance during the WorldSkills Philippines – Caraga Region 2026! 🎉🏆👏

Representing eight (8) trade areas, ASSAT proudly bagged seven (7) Gold Medals and one (1) Silver Medal, significantly contributing to the Province of Agusan del Sur’s achievement as the Overall Champion of the regional skills competition.

Held at the ASSAT campus, Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, from April 27–29, 2026, the event showcased the exceptional skills, dedication, and excellence of ASSAT trainers, coaches, competitors, and officials.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to ASSAT’s commitment to quality technical-vocational education and its continued pursuit of excellence in skills development. Padayon, ASSAT!

[𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓]

In connection with the conduct of the 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟰–𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades (ASSAT) will shift to 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 through the 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (LMS) starting 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

All students are advised to regularly check their LMS accounts for announcements, learning materials, class schedules, activities, and other instructions from their trainers and instructors.

We encourage everyone to remain engaged and responsible in their online learning while supporting the successful conduct of this national sporting event.

𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

In a significant step toward promoting sustainable energy and empowering local communities, the TESDA Agusan del Sur Cluster successfully conducted a 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in a Barangay Development Program (BDP) priority area from 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟑𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐢𝐧-𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐞𝐠, 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐋𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐳, 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫.

The three-day training was spearheaded by the 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬. The initiative aimed to equip residents of the remote sitio with practical skills in solar panel installation, enabling them to harness renewable energy and improve access to electricity.

Participants, composed of local residents and community members, were given hands-on training on the basics of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including installation procedures, safety practices, and maintenance. Trainers emphasized the importance of renewable energy solutions, particularly in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas where access to conventional electricity remains limited.

This initiative forms part of TESDA’s continued commitment to inclusive development by bringing technical education and skills training closer to underserved communities. By empowering individuals with relevant and sustainable skills, TESDA hopes to foster self-reliance, livelihood opportunities, and community resilience.

House Bill No. 8583 has been approved on 3rd reading—paving the way for the transformation of Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades into a Polytechnic Institution for Technical Education.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Eddiebong G. Plaza and Hon. Alfel M. Bascug for authoring and championing this bill, making this long-awaited vision closer to reality.

This development marks a significant step toward expanding access to quality technical education, producing highly skilled graduates, strengthening local industries, and empowering our communities.

The Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades (ASSAT) conducted a Women’s Rights Symposium in celebration of National Women’s Month, highlighting the 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟐𝟔𝟐 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐕𝐀𝐖𝐂) 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒.

The activity featured 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐆. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐦, 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐈, as the resource speaker. She provided an in-depth discussion on the provisions of RA 9262, emphasizing the protection of women and children against physical, psychological, sexual, and economic abuse, as well as the legal remedies available to victims.

Participants gained valuable knowledge on recognizing and addressing violence, and were encouraged to take an active role in promoting awareness and prevention within their communities.

Aligned with its Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, ASSAT continues to advocate for a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all.

Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades (ASSAT) is gearing towards the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS), conducted by the Learning System Digitization and Management Unit, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the delivery of technical-vocational education.

The initiative aims to integrate digital tools into training, providing students and trainers with a more flexible, accessible, and efficient learning environment. Through the LMS, ASSAT seeks to strengthen instructional delivery, improve learning outcomes, and adapt to the evolving demands of modern education.

The move marks a significant step in the institution’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in skills training and development.
