In a devastating incident in Bazipora Ajas, three families from Noorabad lost all their belongings to a fierce fire that broke out overnight on June 18-19, 2024. The incident has left these families in a state of profound loss and despair.
Chairman TWC Ajas, Mr. Mohammad Shaban Bhat, has made a heartfelt appeal to the general public of Bandipora, particularly the residents of Ajas, to come forward and extend their support to the fire victims. Recognizing the urgent need for assistance, Mr. Bhat has also urged the District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Bandipora to provide financial aid to help these families recover from their devastating loss.
The community stands at a critical juncture to rally behind the affected families during this difficult time. Contributions and support from both local authorities and compassionate citizens are crucial in helping the victims rebuild their lives after this tragic incident

Those whose land depends on the Zajeeri Pump Station must boycott Abiyan until the government ensures that the Irrigation Channel Zajeeri is free from encroachment. For the past few years, the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department has failed to provide proper irrigation to the land in Ajas. Therefore, no Abiyan payments will be made until our demands are met."
