It is with great pride that we announce the promotion of Maj Ahmed Mohamed to the rank of Major. As an instructor and editor in the Leadership Development Division, Maj Mohamed is an integral and valued member of our team at The Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School. We were honored to celebrate this significant career milestone with him and his family.

Congratulations to TSgt Banton on her well-deserved promotion! As the NCOIC of Curriculum Implementation and Faculty Training, TSgt Banton is an invaluable paralegal instructor and a leader at The Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School. We are thrilled to celebrate her achievement and her continued service to the Air Force.

Last month, The Judge Advocate General’s Corps received 19 newly qualified judge advocates with the graduation of JASOC 26-A! We're honored to celebrate their graduation and the start of their journey, providing legal expertise and unwavering support to Airmen & Guardians worldwide.

In December, a group of talented new paralegals graduated from the Paralegal Apprentice Course! They've honed their skills and are prepared to provide invaluable support to our legal teams and the Department of the Air Force mission. Congratulations PAC 25-005!

In line with installation commander guidance, AFJAGS will have delayed reporting for staff and faculty tomorrow, 26 January 2026, until 1100.

All courses / classes previously scheduled will now begin at 1130.

Students experiencing transportation delays should contact their course directors as soon as possible.

Due to inclement weather, the installation commander has ordered delayed reporting for non-essential personnel until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 for both Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex.

AFJAGS is where future JAGs are made! Our most recent JASOC class-- JASOC 26-A-- wrapped up their final week of the course sharpening their litigation skills and testing their knowledge during mock trial and the Excellence in Advocacy Competition. They are both incredible opportunities to learn and grow as legal professionals.

Faculty joined to celebrate (T)Sgt Banton’s re-enlistment! We are delighted that this means her continued outstanding paralegal instruction for our students at the Air Force Judge Advocate's School. She is an amazing NCO and a vital part of our team. Thanks for sticking with us and continuing to shape the future of the JAG Corps!

At AFJAGS, we believe in learning by doing! Our students don't just listen to lectures; they actively develop crucial legal skills through hands-on practical exercises. By creating a mock legal office environment, they learn to triage complex legal issues across all domains, manage priorities on the fly, provide sound legal recommendations, and hone the skills of effective office teamwork.

Meals packed, storage organized, wardrobes built, holiday decor up, and even pet portraits painted! During their last few weeks of JASOC, our students showed what service looks like outside of the uniform, giving back to our Montgomery area community.

Please join us in celebrating TSgt Ferreyra on his reenlistment! We are so proud to have him continue sharing his paralegal expertise and dedication with our students. His positive attitude and commitment to excellence motivates not just his students, but also his fellow instructors.

Our JASOC students powered through their final PT test together, proving that strong leadership is all about supporting your team. But it's not just about the physical challenge – being fit means having the energy and resilience to lead effectively, especially when things get tough.

JASOC 26-A students compete in a four-part event that tests their knowledge of Air Force and Space Force missions, aircraft, dress and appearance regulations, and a timed disassemble and reassemble of a firearm assisted by a Combat Arms Instructor.
