We need your input!!
The district is beginning the process of planning the 2027–2028 school year calendar, and community input matters.
The school calendar impacts students, families, and educators, so your feedback helps us understand what’s working and what should be considered as options are developed.
If you have a few minutes, please share your thoughts!!🍎
Feedback opportunity! Share your thoughts on our school calendar via: OsseoSchools.org/CalendarInput. Your input will directly inform our Planning Committee’s next steps as they draft calendars for 2027-28 and beyond.
Every year, Osseo Area Schools strives to build a calendar that prioritizes student learning while respecting the time and needs of our families and hardworking staff. While it’s clear there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, your feedback is the most important tool our team has in finding the best possible balance.
The feedback form will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.

So proud of our students!!
They brought us the idea of a varsity letter for community service…went through all the steps — and now it’s a reality across our district.
Now that is leadership!! Student voice in action!!✨🤗!
I love it!
🍎
All district high schools will begin offering a varsity letter for community service beginning this spring. This student-created opportunity aims to recognize and celebrate sustained, meaningful service to our schools and broader community.

I want to take a moment to thank our school district community — families, caregivers, educators, staff, students, neighbors, businesses and community members — who have stepped up to support one another during this unprecedented time. Whether you have children in our schools or care about young people and educators, your compassion, presence, and willingness to help matters. Our schools are stronger because of the community that surrounds them. ❤️

At the January school board meeting, our board passed (5-1) a resolution formally committing to student safety, equity, and inclusion, holding ourselves accountable to keep schools as spaces where every student can thrive. This resolution matters because fear and uncertainty can disrupt attendance and engagement, and it clearly signals our commitment to keeping every student safe, supported, and welcomed.
It affirms that ALL students—regardless of immigration status—have safe, welcoming, and uninterrupted access to education, protects student privacy, limits immigration enforcement on school property, and ensures schools remain focused on learning, belonging, and well-being.

"Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education," - Dr. King
An education doesn’t just shape minds, it really (and I would argue, most importantly) shapes hearts.
Let’s continue to honor Dr. King’s legacy through the lens of humanity.

I’m honestly at a loss right now. Watching the anxiety and terror through our communities is devastating. What happened is senseless…it is inhumane, and the lack of humanity is completely horrifying.
A life has been lost🥺💔. . 🤍
Minnesota keeps finding itself at the center of these moments that force us to decide who we are and what side of history we are on.
Stay vigilant and safe and choose humanity.
