𝐁𝐎𝐂, 𝐍𝐁𝐈, 𝐏𝐂𝐆 𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐤𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐄𝐜𝐢𝐣𝐚

Pinangunahan ni Bureau of Customs Commissioner (BOC) Ariel Nepomuceno, kasama si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag, mga kinatawan ng Philippine Coast Guard, at iba pang opisyal ng pamahalaan, ang inspeksyon sa isang cold storage facility sa Nueva Ecija na umano'y naglalaman ng mga smuggled na produktong agrikultural na nagkakahalaga ng P35.4 milyon.

Bahagi ang operasyon ng pinaigting na kampanya ng pamahalaan laban sa agricultural smuggling at ng mga hakbang upang maprotektahan ang mga lokal na magsasaka at mamimili mula sa epekto ng mga ilegal na produktong pumapasok sa bansa.

Tiniyak ng BOC at NBI ang patuloy na koordinasyon upang matukoy ang mga responsable sa operasyon, na posibleng maharap sa paglabag sa Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act at Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos welcomed Vietnamese President and Communist Party General Secretary, His Excellency To Lam and Madame Ngo Phuong Ly at Malacañan Palace with arrival honors, underscoring the growing partnership between the Philippines and Viet Nam as the two countries commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of their Strategic Partnership.

Following the signing of the Palace guest book, President Marcos and General Secretary-President To Lam held a tête-à-tête meeting to discuss key bilateral and regional issues, with particular focus on strengthening maritime cooperation and advancing shared interests in regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

The engagement reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to further deepening their Strategic Partnership and expanding cooperation in areas that support economic growth, regional security, and ASEAN solidarity.
