DON'T LET THEM TAKE OUR VOICE!

For sixty years, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act has given Tribal Nations, communities, local governments, and the public a voice before federal decisions damage or destroy the places that carry our history.

Today, Section 106 faces unprecedented regulatory, legislative, and executive threats.

We need your help!

1. Contact your Senators ask them to oppose the “Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act” and to protect Section 106.

We are thrilled to invite you all to join us for a Lunch and Learn event with Chanell Hasty, the author of “On Common Ground: Community Partnerships in Stadium & Infrastructure Development.” Chanell is part of the Accelerator for America team we’ve been working with on our Thriving Communities Program grant, and this study looks at Inglewood, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia for lessons on partnering.

Historic South Downtown’s funding, through HB1408, is an example of positive partnering agreements that are now funding grants back into South Downtown.
