This was the statement of Mark (not his real name), one of the 27 workers who received Php 1,277,039.98 in monetary claims on Thursday through a successful settlement facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment Bicol – Albay Provincial Office under the Single Entry Approach (SEnA) Program.

The requesting party filed a request for assistance (RFA) through the said program to recover their monetary claims for 13th-month pay, Unpaid Salary, Salary Differential, and Retirement Benefits. Upon receipt of the request, the Provincial SEnA Desk Officer (SEADO) facilitated conciliation-mediation conferences on April 29 and 30, 2026, which resulted in an amicable settlement covering the agreed monetary amount.

DOLE Bicol Regional Director Imelda F. Gatinao emphasized the significance of the program in empowering workers to speak up and find a resolution through dialogue and mutual understanding.

"𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳, 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦," RD Gatinao said.

The requesting parties expressed their gratitude for the impartial assistance and guidance provided by the SEnA Desk Officer throughout the settlement proceedings.

Ms. Ma. Corazon M. Blanquisco, APO SEnA Desk Officer, assured stakeholders of the Department’s commitment to upholding fair labor practices and protecting workers’ rights.
