It was a pleasure to speak with students from Belen Jesuit, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, and St. Brendan High School participating in Buchanan’s Miami High School Externship Program.

This annual initiative provides students with valuable insight into the many career opportunities within the legal profession. I enjoyed sharing my career journey, discussing the role of the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, and encouraging students to continue exploring careers in law and public service.

We recently toured the Miami-Dade Juvenile Detention Center and had the opportunity to see the Hope Murals up close. The artwork throughout the facility reflects creativity, resilience, and the belief that every young person deserves encouragement and opportunity.

Thank you for welcoming us and sharing the stories behind these incredible murals. It was an honor to witness the positive impact this project continues to have on the facility and the youth it serves.

We were honored to welcome Raykel Perez to the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller’s Office for the 3rd Annual Miami-Dade County Youth Governance Day!

From meeting members of our Clerk team to exploring the many departments that serve our community, Raykel got a behind-the-scenes look at the work we do every day for Miami-Dade County residents.

He even had the opportunity to sit in on a civil trial and observe the judicial process in action.

Thank you for spending the day with us, Raykel! We enjoyed sharing our mission with you and hope you had as much fun as we did.

On this D-Day anniversary, we honor the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women whose actions helped secure freedom for future generations.

Their courage continues to inspire us, and their legacy will never be forgotten.
