Our screening of 125 Years Memory brought together a powerful reflection on the enduring friendship between Türkiye 🇹🇷 and Japan 🇯🇵, rooted in compassion and shared values.

Guided by the philosophy of , we were reminded that humanity is not just remembered, it is lived.

This event marked the beginning of a meaningful collaboration with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with more to come.

🎬 Film Screening & Networking Event – Ertuğrul 1890

In collaboration with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, we invite you to a special screening of Ertuğrul 1890, a powerful story that has become a symbol of friendship between Türkiye🇹🇷 and Japan🇯🇵.

The program will begin with a short reception, offering participants the opportunity to connect and network. The film tells the story of the Ertuğrul Frigate, which sank in Japanese waters in 1890, highlighting the rescue efforts of the Japanese people. It also draws a parallel to 1985, when more than 300 Japanese citizens stranded in Iran during the Iran–Iraq War were safely evacuated by Türkiye.
