Due to a computer error, tax letters were recently sent out from 2025 instead of 2026. We apologize for the error. Our IT has corrected the issue.

If you go online to imo.washingtoncountyny.gov and click on public access, there are search criteria such as name, tax id, address etc. Choose one and you can see if you owe anything.

If you received a letter dated for 2025, it was sent out in error and you may disregard it. I apologize for the error. I am available by phone at 518-692-7611 ext. 100 if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Deborah Tjarks
Tax Collector/ Town Clerk

Looks like that silly groundhog was right about there being more winter ahead. Superintendent Mattison and his crew willl be busy again today/tonight. If you see these guys around town, please thank them for the great job they do. If you have to be out and about, take it slow. Any concerns, please respond here. Stay safe...
