We are so grateful for the businesses, organizations, and individuals who continue to come together to support our mission, especially during the months when the shelter is closed for the season. Your support helps us keep going strong for the fall and winter ahead.

Even though Project 10-20 is closed for the season, the work of preparing for fall and winter never really stops. ❤️

Earlier this month, the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church CE Director reached out to ask how their winter-themed VBS could support our shelter. Their kids and adults learned about Project 10-20 & collected new needed items.

Thanks to their generosity, they collected hand warmers, gloves, hats, scarves, oatmeal packets, hot chocolate packets, jerky, cereal bars, and monetary donations to help support our guests when the cold weather returns.

Even more special? 82 kids and 75 adults learned about homelessness in our community and how they can be part of helping.

We are so grateful for Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and every person who helps keep Project 10-20 going — even in the off-season. Your support makes a real difference when winter comes. 💙

$540 raised at Music Bingo with Servaes Brewing! 🎉 Huge thank you to everyone who came out, played, and supported the shelter. Your generosity makes a real difference. ❤️

We’ll be back to host music bingo in October to help prepare for opening season, and we can’t wait to see you there!

We’re so grateful for the many creative ways people choose to support the shelter—from music bingo, company donations, to kids collecting needed items, golf tournaments, and more.

Have an idea to help? We’d love to hear it. Reach out anytime and let’s make a difference together.

We asked for luggage… and wow, you all showed up. 🎒🛅

Because of your generosity, our guests were able to pack up their belongings with dignity as we closed the shelter on March 31st. Something as simple as a suitcase or duffle bag makes a big difference — and you made that possible.

A special thank you to Lee, one of our incredible volunteers, who ran our “luggage store” so guests could choose a bag that fit their needs. That moment of choice and respect matters more than you know.

Every season, we have many needs — and every season, this community steps up. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking alongside us.

While the shelter doors are now closed for the season, our work does not stop. We continue to provide year-round case management for our guests and additional families in need. There is so much happening behind the scenes that still needs support.

If you’re looking for a way to stay involved:
• One-time or monthly donations
• Facebook birthday fundraisers
• Sharing our mission with others

It truly takes a community — and we’re so grateful for you. ❤️

Less than 2 weeks left in our shelter season ❤️

As guests prepare to transition out, something simple can make a big difference — having a way to carry their belongings with dignity.

Our most urgent need at the moment:
🧳 Carry-on size luggage
🎒 Backpacks
👜 Duffle bags
✔️ Clean, gently used, and in working condition

If you’re able to help, we’re accepting in-person donations:
📅 March 22 & March 25
⏰ 12–2 PM
📍 A volunteer will be onsite to receive items

Our Amazon Wishlist has also been updated with these needs, and we always welcome monetary donations to help fill the gaps.

It truly takes an entire community to make this work. We appreciate all the support this season more than we can say — thank you for showing up for our guests 💙

🧳 As we prepare to close the shelter for the season on March 31, we want to help our guests leave with dignity and a safe way to carry their belongings. Many guests store their personal items in lockers while staying at the shelter, and a carry-on size roller bag or duffle bag (in good, clean, working condition) can make a big difference as they transition out.

📍 In-person donation times:
-March 15, 18, 22, and 25
-12:00–2:00 PM
(a volunteer will be available to receive donations)

While the shelter closes for the season on March 31, our case management services continue year-round to support individuals working toward stability and housing.

Every donation helps our guests move forward with a little more dignity and respect. Thank you for the incredible support you’ve shown our shelter community this season. 💙

With a couple of weeks remaining in the period during the year that our cold weather shelter is permitted to operate, there are still needs on our Amazon Wish List if you wish to participate.

We are grateful for the many people who contribute their time and money to assist our guests

Big thank you to this amazing Girl Scout who collected 90 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for our shelter guests! 🍪💚

Acts like this remind us that you’re never too young to make a difference. We love seeing the creative ways our community steps up to support the shelter and care for our neighbors.

With just 3 weeks left in the shelter season, every donation, volunteer hour, and kind gesture has helped make this year possible.

Thank you for showing that community comes in all ages and that small acts of kindness truly add up. 💙

We’re excited to share that Project 10-20 is now officially listed on Facebook Charities! 🎉

One easy way to support the shelter is by choosing Project 10-20 as your Facebook Birthday Fundraiser. Instead of gifts, you can invite your friends and family to donate and help neighbors in our community experiencing homelessness.

Every dollar truly makes a difference. Birthday fundraiser donations help cover everyday but essential needs like:
• Laundry services for our guests
• Water bills for showers and shelter operations
• Extra food when supplies run low
• Urgent cold-weather supplies
• Gas assistance for transportation
• Prescription and medical needs
• And so many other unexpected expenses throughout the season

It takes a community to keep the shelter running, and these fundraisers make a real impact. If your birthday is coming up, we’d be honored if you chose Project 10-20. 💙

Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors.

Huge thank you to Servaes Brewing Co. - Shawnee for hosting Music Bingo for a Cause in support of Project 10❤20! 🎶

We had around 60 people come out to play, sing along, and learn more about our shelter and our mission. Nights like this do more than raise funds — they help build awareness, strengthen local partnerships, and keep our community engaged in solutions to homelessness.

We’re so grateful for the local businesses and neighbors who show up, support, and look for creative ways to help us fundraise. It truly takes all of us.

There are so many ways to get involved — and all ages can help. Whether it’s hosting an event, organizing a fundraiser, volunteering, provide a meal, become a monthly donor, or simply spreading the word, every effort makes a difference.

If you have ideas, connections, or would like to host a fundraiser, please reach out. We’d love to partner with you. 💙
