Er. Munir Khan Extends Eid al-Ghadeer Greetings
On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadeer, Er. Munir Khan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the people. He expressed hope that the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) continue to inspire unity, dignity, compassion, and service to humanity, while bringing peace, prosperity, and harmony to communities across the region.

Uri, May 31: Er. Munir Khan, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader from Constituency Uri, has appealed to PDP President Mehbooba M***i to intervene in the matter of employment opportunities for local youth in the upcoming Uri-I Stage-II Hydroelectric Project.

Referring to the commencement of Phase-II works of the project, Er. Munir Khan emphasized that local technical and non-technical unemployed youth must be given priority in recruitment and adjustment within the project. He stated that similar assurances were made to the people of Uri in the past, but those promises were never fulfilled.

He urged Mehbooba M***i to take up the issue with the concerned authorities and ensure that the local population receives its rightful share of employment opportunities arising from the project.

Er. Munir Khan further expressed concern over the continued neglect of local aspirations and said that the people of Uri expect genuine representation and action on issues affecting their livelihood. He stressed that local unemployed youth should not be deprived once again and called for a transparent and fair recruitment process that benefits the residents of the area.

He appealed to all stakeholders to ensure that the project contributes not only to power generation but also to the socio-economic development of the people living in the project-affected region.
