Twenty (20) JO1 Trainees of Jail Basic Recruit Course Class 2026-03 MASIB-ALAB completed their journey through the comprehensive dynamics of jail operations in the warm and joyful Culmination Activity of their Jail Immersion Program at Quezon City Jail - Male Dormitory on June 4, 2026.
The activity was filled by a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere, featuring musical performances, dance presentations, and a small buffet.
During her inspirational message, City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION encouraged the trainees to carry forward the knowledge they've gained with their first-hand experiences as they move one step closer to being full-pledged Jail Officers and beyond.
JSUPT PACION presented Certificates of Completion to the trainees during the awarding ceremony. The trainees also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to the Warden by presenting a token of appreciation.

The Quezon City JailโMale Dormitory extends its sincere gratitude to Hon. Rosanna Fe Romero-Maglaya for her meaningful visit and continued support for the welfare and rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty (PDL).
During the visit, Hon. Maglaya was welcomed by ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐, City Jail Warden, as they discussed the status of PDL cases, legal interventions, and rehabilitation initiatives, including livelihood programs that support the implementation of the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA).
QCJ-MD likewise expresses its appreciation to Hon. Maglaya for supporting our livelihood program through the purchase of laundry baskets produced by our PDL. Such support helps empower PDL by promoting productivity, skills development, and hope for successful reintegration into society.

The activity was organized to ensure that jail officers engage in physical conditioning and overall well-being in the line of duty.

Fresh from the heels of their Basic Food & Beverage Operations Training, Park Inn by Radisson's Hotel North EDSA returns to Quezon City Jail-Male Dormitory to bring more opportunities for driven persons deprived of liberty through the Bread and Pastry Skills Training held on June 3, 2026 at the QCJ-MD Livelihood Area Bakery.
The program opened with a brief refresher on Food Safety by Hygienist Erika Carisma to ensure proper handling and cleanliness through the course of the affair. Following this, Master Chef Ricardo Descutido shared his expertise and new recipes to the Tinapay ni Pidel Bakers, other PDL, and select jail personnel during the day-long training. The activity was conducted under No Juan Left Behind, a joint initiative between Hon MAYOR JOY BELMONTE, QC LGU, and Quezon City Jail-Male Dormitory focused on the betterment of PDL to prepare them for their eventual reintegration to society.
Leading the delegation, People & Culture Director Virna Chua brought a generous donation from Park Inn North EDSA comprised of bed linens and pillows for the PDL, and toys for the Kidzone City Child Friendly Area, graciously received by City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION.

In support of the โ๐๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐โ initiative, the Quezon City LGU Veterinary Office conducted another session of its Dog Training Program for persons deprived of liberty (PDL) at the Quezon City JailโMale Dormitory (QCJ-MD) on June 3, 2026.
As a continuation of the six-session training program, participating PDL further enhanced their knowledge and skills in dog behavioral assessment and proper interaction with shelter animals in the following sessions. The initiative aims to provide meaningful opportunities for skill development while promoting animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
The activity was facilitated by Head Trainer Don C. Castillo of the Animal Care and Adoption Center, together with Dr. Ben Joshua Blancaver, DVM, Resident Veterinarian, Mr. Mark Marin, Mr. Jose Carlo Pocholo Siazon, Mr. Jian Carlo Tropa, Mr. Bon Roi Gabot, and Mr. Jeffrey Delos Santos. The program was supervised by SJO4 Shirley P. Laggui, Chief of the Development Unit.

On June 2, 2026, representatives from the Embassy of the United States in the Philippines visited the Quezon City Jail โ Male Dormitory to provide consular assistance to U.S. citizens currently held in the facility.
Vice Consul Christopher Agba met with the concerned persons deprived of liberty as part of the Embassyโs regular consular engagement with its nationals. The visit concluded with the signing of the facilityโs visitorsโ logbook in the presence of City Jail Warden JSUPT MARIA LOURDES P PACION and Chief Welfare and Development Section JSINSP PHILOMEL P MALAZARTE.

The ๐๐ฎ๐๐ณ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅโ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ (๐๐๐๐๐) participated in the nationwide kickoff of ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ค๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐ on ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ by providing manpower assistance to ๐๐ฎ๐๐ณ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ as part of the Department of Educationโs annual school preparation program.
Led by City Jail Warden ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐, QCJMD personnel assisted in cleaning the school grounds and repacking teachersโ kits to help ensure the school's readiness for the upcoming academic year. QCJMD also voluntarily donated cleaning materials to support the school's maintenance and preparation efforts.
The team was welcomed by School Principal Dr. George Emanuel F. Martin, Administrative Department Head Isaiah Thomas M. Padrinao, Property Custodian Jonnalyn T. Babatio, and Guidance Counselor Jen Doropan.
