"The conference at Sendai today and the Paris Conference in December will deliberate on two seemingly separate matters: disaster risk reduction on the one hand and combating climate change on the other. In fact, these 2 matters are inseparably linked. Today, it is estimated in fact that more than 70% of natural disasters are linked to climate change, twice as many as 20 years ago, and this figure will increase in the future."

« La conférence de Sendai aujourd’hui et la conférence de Paris en décembre traitent de deux sujets en apparence distincts : la réduction des risques de catastrophes d’un côté, et la lutte contre le dérèglement climatique de l’autre. En réalité, les sujets sont liés. Aujourd’hui, on estime en effet que plus de 70% des catastrophes dites naturelles sont liées au dérèglement climatique. C’est deux fois plus qu’il y a 20 ans et ce le sera encore d’avantage à l’avenir. »

Goût de France / Good France comes to the Philippines in 6 days!

On March 19 in the Philippines, Chef Michel Herbert of Le Bistro D'Agathe, Chef Ronnie Reyes of Bizu Patisserie & Bistro, Chef Cyrille Soenen of Brasserie CiCou, Chef Marc Aubry of Champetre Boutique & Restaurant, Chef Kevin Endaya of Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant, and Chef Thomas Wenger of Enderun Colleges' Restaurant 101 have been screened and chosen by a committee of experts led by Alain Ducasse to offer a French menu in their restaurants with a traditional French aperitif, a cold starter, a hot starter, fish or shellfish, meat or poultry, a French cheese (or cheeseboard), a chocolate dessert, French wines and digestifs, while remaining free to highlight their own culinary traditions and cultures.

The prepared menus of the participating restaurants will be posted soon!
