Nawh, it's a bit deeper than that.

The group is basically a shell for establishment Democrats and Zionists to capitalize on the momentum first started last year via the 50501 Movement Coalition. 50501 wanted national validation, and the other groups wanted to be part of the "next big thing" while stifling its growth internally and externally.

A lot of non-establishment BIPOC folks see this issue, and it's one I've been personally fighting against for a long time with my presence as one of two Black founding members.

What is the actual role of a Pride Caucus within the Ohio Democratic Party?

If you asked most people, they would tell you it is to:

- Support LGBTQ+ candidates running for public office.
- Mobilize voters and drive get-out-the-vote efforts across the state.
- Stand up for true equality and boldly call out anti-LGBTQ+ bigotry no matter where it comes from.

If you thought that last point was allowed, you would be dead wrong.

The Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) leadership has made it clear that the caucus is strictly forbidden from sharing any posts or statements that are in any way critical of an endorsed Democratic candidate. It doesn't matter how much harm that candidate's platform inflicts on the LGBTQ+ community or what kind of rhetoric they use. Whether it is Rep. Marcy Kaptur running anti-trans campaign ads or gubernatorial nominee Dr. Amy Acton using exclusionary rhetoric regarding transgender athletes, party leadership expects total silence from the communities affected.

Recently, the Lucas County Democratic Party and Wood County Democratic Party issued a formal statement respectfully asking Kaptur to discontinue her harmful advertisements. When the ODP Pride Caucus shared this local county party statement on social media, ODP leadership went into the account and deleted the post twice.

Even resharing a respectful request from a local county party to remove transphobic campaign materials is considered a violation by state leadership. The ODP wants nothing from the Pride Caucus but to sell their candidates to the LGBTQ+ community, even when those candidates are actively working against our safety and basic rights. They want a rubber stamp, not representation.

Take Action: Contact the Ohio Democratic Party headquarters right now. Demand that they stop censoring their own caucuses for standing up for the very communities they exist to defend and represent.

Many of you probably saw this flyer going around Reynoldsburg community groups today.

I can’t tell you anything beyond what you have probably read yourselves. But I have all the information I need to share this: Brave young women asked for support. That’s what they’re going to get 🫡

Looks like we have an identification on the murderer of Lorenzo Araujo...

Rest in Peace and justice for his family as well as all individuals experiencing the harm of ICE.

Gregory Feathers has been identified by Crust News and the Texas Tribune. Feathers came out of retirement to do this.

"For nearly three months the federal government refused to say who shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. A joint investigation by the ICE List and The Texas Tribune has now identified him. He is ICE agent Gregory Feathers. Witnesses say Feathers fired through an open van window and killed the 52-year-old Houston father on 7 July. . .

A Form I-213, the agents' report of the chase and shooting, names Feathers as one of the arresting officers. Victor Salgado Araujo was in the front seat. He picked Feathers out of a photograph and described a heavy-set, bearded man with military-style hair and tattoos on both forearms. "The bullet passed right in front of me," he said. "They destroyed our whole family."

Feathers had retired from ICE. He was brought back within the past two years, one of the former officers the Trump administration recruited with $50,000 signing bonuses to meet its deportation targets. . .

Most police departments name officers involved in shootings within days. DHS instead called naming him "doxxing." This is not a normal response for a Law Enforcement related death in the USA, however, has become all too typical of the deaths that have occurred at the hands of ICE under the Trump regime.
