I had a great time at the Beetopia event at the Gastonia Farmer's Market Saturday! As a reminder, the market is open Saturday from 7:30 - 12:30 but just around the corner they will expand to Tuesday and Thursdays as well.

Today is the day! Dave's Hot Chicken Gastonia is open for business! Go support this local franchisee and get your hands on their juicy, spicy chicken.

I went with the slider + tender combo. Order with caution - it's not called Dave's Hot Chicken for no reason!

Happy Read Across America 2026 Week!
Today is the day that we focus on cultivating a love for reading for our youth and future leaders.

A special thank you to Hawks Nest STEAM Academy, Ms. Cordeiro, and Ms. Moore’s 4th grade class for allowing me to read with you this morning. Many fantastic questions and very curious students about the future of Gastonia. Keep up the awesome work! There are definitely some future public servants in this class.

It's been a busy, rewarding couple of weeks! Thanks to everyone who helped make our annual Christmas Parade a special one! It was great to see so many friendly faces.
