The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) organized Data-Fest 2025, a groundbreaking two-day event held at the Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad. As a flagship of URAAN Pakistan iniative, Datafest 2025 promotes inovation, inclusivity, and evidence - based desicion making by bringing together all the data users, producers and other stakeholders from public and private sector. It is a premier initiative that provides opportunities to showcase datasets and explore opportunities to interact with other organizations. It further enables stakeholders to explore posibilities of joint collaboration and signing of MoUs for mutual cooperation to foster base line development of various programs and impact assesment.

PPRA conducted a comprehensive training session for Station Commanders and Presidents of Cantonment Boards at CIMLA Lahore on 31st October 2025. The session focused on enhancing the participants’ understanding of public procurement laws, PPRA rules, (both Federal & Punjab) and the practical application of procurement procedures within cantonment administrative structures. Key areas included ensuring transparency, adopting standardized procurement practices, and addressing common operational challenges faced by public-sector entities.

The 12th Advisory Group Meeting was held today to deliberate on strengthening sustainable, transparent, and balanced public procurement practices across Pakistan. The session focused on enhancing inter-provincial coordination and encouraging meaningful stakeholder engagement to promote harmonized procurement reforms at the national level. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hosted the meeting at the Services Officers’ Club, Peshawar, bringing together Managing Directors and senior representatives from all provincial and federal PPRAs. MDs from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK, and the Federal PPRA actively participated in the discussion, sharing regional experiences, and best practices.

This engagement offered valuable insights to the ASP(UTs) as they engaged in role plays on actual scenorios of public procurement.
