- Emfundweni
- Ethembeni
- Zola 1, 2 & 3
- G-Ntlabathi 1

- Jolobe 1 & 2
- SV 5.3
- ZKD 1
- ZK Matt 1 & 2
Today allocations will continue for SV Cluster 1 & 2. East Campus residences will follow soon. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
If you're a returning student and your residence is not showing on your portal, please occupy any available space while waiting for room details. You're already placed, so don't panic. For first-year students, temporary accommodation is available.
As the CHC, we're taking details of students who didn't apply for residence however it's not guaranteed that they will all get allocated due to our residences capacity, and we're working tirelessly to ensure every student is allocated.
*NB*:*There is a problem with the system, which then makes it hard for residences to reflect*

UFH GCI Ambassadors Lead the Way in Green Wednesday Celebration and Awareness Week
Yesterday, the University of Fort Hare Alice Campus Green Campus Initiative (GCI) Ambassadors proudly celebrated Green Wednesday, a day dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students. This was held on campus, bringing together enthusiastic students who participated in engaging activities aimed at encouraging responsible waste management, recycling, and greener lifestyles.
The Ambassadors set up an interactive stall where they distributed informative materials and engaged their peers in conversations about the importance of preserving the environment. The colourful posters and lively discussions sparked curiosity and excitement, demonstrating the power of student led initiatives in driving change.
This celebration marks the beginning of the GCI Awareness Week, which will run throughout the week across the campus. The week will focus on educating students about sustainability, highlighting practical steps they can take to make a difference, and encouraging active participation in keeping the campus green and clean.
The Central Housing Committee commends the GCI Ambassadors for their dedication and leadership in fostering a culture of sustainability at UFH. Their efforts are not only helping to create awareness but also inspiring the wider student body to take responsibility for their environment.
Students who are interested in different residences to represent their buildings and be ambassadors are allowed to join. Contact Convenor @078 418 6464 and Coordinator @068 541 3858
Together, we can build a campus community that thrives on eco-friendly values and contributes positively to the global fight against climate change.
