In a society where women continue to face disproportionate levels of unemployment, poverty and economic exclusion, we cannot speak of development while excluding women from positions of leadership.

EFF Victor Khanye Sub-Region understands this reality.

The Economic Freedom Fighters continues to demonstrate its commitment to gender parity by ensuring that more women are given the opportunity to contest and occupy positions of political leadership.

This is not about filling positions. It is about transforming who makes decisions, who represents communities and who carries the aspirations of our people.

Women are mothers, caregivers, breadwinners, community builders and leaders. Across Victor Khanye, countless women carry the hopes and futures of entire families on their shoulders.

Therefore, having more women councillor candidates is not merely symbolic — it is revolutionary.

We are building a municipality where women are not expected to stand behind men, but stand alongside them and lead from the front.
