When you are out in nature how often do you slow down and simply notice what you can see?

Just noticing, not analysing.

Perhaps some tiny insect or the space between the leaves in a tree canopy.

When we give our attention to what we see, rather than to everything that we are thinking about, it gives our busy minds somewhere to rest for a while...

DID YOU KNOW?

FICUS SYCOMORUS is found in various parts of Africa south of the Sahara desert.

🌳 They usually grow in riverine areas and the Genus is ancient being at least 60 million years old.

🌳 The fruit (fig) is eaten by birds, bats, monkeys and baboons. Antelope and warthogs devour the fruit that falls to the ground.

🌳 The fig is a false fruit, with hundreds of flowers inside the closed, urn-shaped receptacle. Pollination is done by wasps that enter the opening of the fruit to lay their eggs.
