At the June General Meeting, our Sergeant-at-Arms Flip was in no mood for excuses! 😂📱💸

Poor John Pelucci got fined for using his phone during the meeting… clearly forgetting that when Flip is watching, there are no second chances! 👀🤣

Rumour has it even checking the time counts as suspicious activity when Flip is on duty. Well done John — thank you for contributing to the club entertainment fund! 🍻

At the June General Meeting, our Sergeant-at-Arms Flip handed the famous Toilet Seat Award to Norman 😂🚽🏆

Why? Because Norman managed to leave the Distinguished Gentleman Ride before it even started! Apparently there was something about urgently needing a toilet seat… or maybe just a toilet! 🤣

Well done Norman — you definitely earned this one fair and square! Thanks for keeping the laughs going and giving the club another legendary story to remember.

Congratulations to Grant for winning the “Dick of the Day” award at the June General Meeting! 😂🏆

Grant phoned on the day of the Doss & Dine at 5:20am to check if there was still space available - he had serious fomo, and everyone was happy that he decided to join the event. Unfortunately, he headed home very early on Sunday morning in extremely cold conditions with heavy mist along the route. His glasses kept steaming up, so he had to travel with his visor open just to see where he was going! 🏍️🌫️

Glad you made it home safely, Grant — and thanks for giving us all a story to remember! 😄

Safety Topic at June General Meeting

Every curve tells a story — and sometimes our natural instincts can put us in danger on a motorcycle.

According to motorcycle coach MCrider, these are the 3 deadly cornering mistakes riders must learn to overcome:

• Panic Braking – Grabbing the brakes mid-corner can push the bike wide.
• Early Apex – Turning in too early can send you into oncoming traffic.
• Target Fixation – Looking at the hazard often makes you ride straight toward it.

The key to safer riding:
✔ Slow down before the turn
✔ Delay your turn-in
✔ Look where you WANT to go

Ride smart. Stay alert. Make it home safely. 🏍️

Sunday Ride to The Pot & Kettle

What a special day shared with special people.

Frank and Sherryl joined the riders to spend the morning with the club family.

Although Brett arrived a little later after seeing his visiting mom off this morning, he was thrilled to still spend time with our Club Legend, Frank. He shared how much he enjoyed listening to Sherryl (“Mom Harley”) telling stories from the good old days — the laughs, the friendships, the adventures, and the many places the old members rode together over the years. Those memories reminded us what this club has always been about: friendship, loyalty, and brotherhood.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable.

And a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Frank & Sherryl for coming to spend this special occasion with us. Your presence, stories, and friendship mean more than words can say.

Seventy-eight years of life, friendship, loyalty, and unforgettable memories — that is what we celebrate as we honour you today, Frank.

For 55 remarkable years, you have embodied the true spirit of brotherhood, dedication, and Harley-Davidson pride within the Harley-Davidson Club of South Africa – Durban Chapter. As an Honorary Life Member, your presence in our club is deeply respected and truly treasured.

Although health challenges may have taken you off the road, your passion for the club and the brotherhood has never faded. Your continued support, attendance at meetings, shared laughter, stories, and friendship remind us all what it truly means to be part of the Harley-Davidson family.

Receiving your 55-Year Member Badge is a proud milestone and a reflection of a lifetime of loyalty, commitment, and camaraderie. Few members leave a legacy as meaningful and inspiring as yours.
