Taking care of our eyes is an important part of taking care of ourselves. Through our partnership with CBEST Vision Centre, Mpathy Clinic Diepsloot welcomed community members for a free vision screening, creating an opportunity to prioritise eye health and raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
At Mpathy Clinic, we believe that healthcare goes beyond treating illness. It is also about prevention, community connection and making essential services more accessible to the people who need them.

Good nutrition during the early years lays the foundation for a child's growth, development and overall well-being. Our Toddler Nutritional Event, held in partnership with Sanulac, brought mothers and toddlers together for meaningful conversations about the role nutrition plays in early childhood.

The session focused on helping mothers better understand their toddlers' nutritional needs, make informed food choices and recognise how balanced diets contribute to healthy growth. It also provided an opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals, ask questions and gain practical guidance on supporting their children's development at home. Beyond sharing information, the event highlighted the importance of equipping parents with knowledge they can put into practice every day.

From Farm to Community! 🌱

This past Friday, our Amathuba Farm learners hosted a small Market Day at No.2 Taxi Rank, Orange Farm.Purpose:

✅ Practical exposure on marketing strategy for our learners
✅ Creating awareness about our Agripreneurship Program and our farm
✅ Bringing fresh, affordable produce directly to the community

Our learners brought fresh cabbage and spinach harvested from our farm straight to the community. Fresh produce was sold at the market and the rest was donated to one of our CBOs.

From Mamelodi to Pacaltsdorp, the journey continues. ⚽

A Cruyff Court is more than a football field. It’s a place where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, form friendships and discover what’s possible when they’re given the space and opportunity to thrive.

Following the Mamelodi opening, we’re excited to continue our partnership with the Johan Cruyff Foundation as we prepare to open another court in Pacaltsdorp, George, today.

As young player Thabiso Dlamini from Mamelodi shared, the court gives him the opportunity to improve his game and work towards his dream of going far in football.

This is what makes these spaces meaningful: the dreams they nurture, the opportunities they create and the communities they bring together.

One court at a time, we’re building more than spaces to play. We’re helping create opportunities for the next generation to grow, lead and thrive.

From Mamelodi to Pacaltsdorp, we’re creating spaces where young people can play, grow and thrive. ⚽

Following the opening of the Cruyff Court in Mamelodi, we’re proud to continue our partnership with the Johan Cruyff Foundation as we prepare to open another court in Pacaltsdorp, George, today.

These courts are about more than football. They provide safe, inclusive spaces where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, form friendships and discover new possibilities for their future.

As Mamelodi’s new court begins its journey, we’re reminded that the true impact lies in the lives it will touch and the opportunities it will create for generations to come.

As Thabiso Dlamini, a young player from Mamelodi, shared:

“The grounds help me learn to play better soccer and potentially be seen by scouters. I am looking to be seen because my goal is to go far with soccer.”

His words reflect why these spaces matter. Every young person deserves the opportunity to dream, participate and work towards their potential.

Together, through sport and community partnership, we’re helping build stronger communities and brighter futures.

At Thuthuwa Farm, students are gaining hands-on experience across the agricultural value chain, from seedling production and crop management to harvesting, post-harvest handling, and pack-house operations. Keeping in mind the conversations over World Food Day, these experiences strengthen the technical and operational skills required to succeed in modern agriculture for communities to be fed and learn the practical and the business side of agriculture.

By investing in experiential learning today, we are helping to cultivate a new generation of agricultural talent capable of contributing to more resilient communities, stronger local economies, and a more food-secure South Africa.

Thank you to every partner, community member, volunteer, player, and stakeholder who joined us yesterday for the launch of the Cruyff Court.

Together, we built more than a place to play. We created a catalyst for growth, a safe and inspiring environment where young people can develop confidence, build resilience, and unlock their potential. Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through collective action and a shared commitment to creating opportunities that strengthen communities and shape brighter futures.
