🙏 Prayer is Our Foundation

At Loaves and Fishes Shelter, every day starts with prayer. Before we serve a meal, make a bed, or open our doors — we pray. Because we believe God sees each person who walks through our doors, and He has not forgotten them.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11

🎀 *OCTOBER — We Wear Pink & We Check In* 💚

At Loaves and Fishes Cape Town, we stand with every mother, sister and daughter fighting breast cancer, and with everyone fighting a battle no one can see.

Early detection saves lives — please go for your screening.
And if your heart feels heavy, you are not alone. It’s okay to ask for help. We are here to listen, pray and walk with you.

We care for body, mind and spirit.

We were blessed to have Charles Mercer and his wife Mary for a visit to Loaves and Fishes on Thursday evening 24 September 2026. Charles was the founder of Loaves and Fishes in 1997 and shared about God's marvelous provision in the needs of the organization from the very beginning. We are still seeing God's gracious hand of provision even to this day. It was such a blessing to have them here.

We were greatly blessed to have Julian Jansen, well known author and journalist adress our residents at Loaves and Fishes on Thursday evening, 17 September 2026. He inspired and encouraged us as he shared with us about the Fatherheart of God and the role fathers play in the lives of their children.
