ANC Ward 55 Dr Ruth Mompati Branch
The Deputy Chairperson of ANC Ward 55 Dr Ruth Mompati Branch addressed the Gauteng PTT Deployee and the Inner-City Central Zonal Leadership, expressing the frustrations and concerns of the community regarding the lack of service delivery in the ward.
He emphasized that it is unacceptable for Ward 55 to be neglected simply because it is currently under DA administration. He questioned how the ANC is expected to reclaim the ward if residents continue to suffer from inadequate service delivery while many dedicated ANC volunteers remain unemployed.
The Deputy Chairperson stressed that communities hold the ANC accountable on the ground, regardless of which political party governs the municipality.
"Le rena re batho. You can't just be asking for election campaign reports without delivering services to our people."
He further called for meaningful interventions, job opportunities, and improved service delivery to restore the confidence of residents and strengthen the ANC's connection with the community.
The message received strong support from the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) Deputy Chairperson, who was present during the engagement.
