Six months without electricity in Meadowlands Zone 3! ⚡💙

Helen Zille visited Mabitsela Street, where residents have been living without electricity for the past six months.

Ward 41 candidate Thulani Mabaso, PR Councillor Ross Hooper and local activists have been working tirelessly to get the electricity restored.

There's finally some progress! 🙌🏽 A replacement transformer has now been installed, bringing the community one step closer to having their lights back on.

After six long months, this is an important development for the affected families.

A few weeks ago we restored electricity to Dobsonville and today we restored electricity to Meadowlands. This is a demonstration of the DA’s commitment to delivering basic services to all.

Give us five years to govern and we will show the rest of Joburg what is possible! 🗳️⚡️

Cllr Andrew Marais, Ward 47 candidate Kelebogile Ntlemo and DA activists were out at the Blue Table, connecting with taxi drivers and residents.

And the taxi drivers didn't hold back! They spoke openly about corruption, the struggle to earn a decent living and how difficult it has become to provide for their children.

Some checked their voter registration details, while others signed up, sharing their hopes for a different future.

These are the voices that deserve to be heard ahead of 4 November! 🗳️

Vote for those who stand up for you 🫂🗳️

Community Activist and Ward 40 Candidate, Zandi Madonsela, has been reporting service delivery issues and assisting families to overcome social ills in the community.

Leader Zandi has stood up for Soweto residents and ensured illegal dumping is cleared, traffic lights are fixed, and potholes are repaired. Zandi has also stepped in to help victims of crime and domestic abuse.

Let's elect proactive and hard-working ward councillor candidates to look after our communities. VOTE DA 💙🗳️

More opportunities for young people in Meadowlands! 💙

Ward 43 candidate Nkosana Mhlakaza is speaking out about two challenges affecting young people in the community: unemployment and substance abuse.

Nkosana has committed to working with the City's Social Development Department to push for anti-substance abuse programmes and better support for young people in his ward.

Helen Zille has also identified alcohol and drug abuse as an issue she wants to address in Johannesburg.

For families affected by these challenges, access to support services and opportunities matters.
