As we transition from cold nights to hot summer days, our birds are taking full advantage of our donated spray bottle! We are hoping in the not-too-distant future, to implement automated sprayers for each of our aviaries. But for now, our dedicated volunteers are out there with the birds, making sure they stay cool!

BIG or small, any bird is a multiple-year commitment, with complex social and physical needs.

85% of all companion parrots are given up within the first 2 years - for various reasons - leaving most to go from home to home, or being surrendered at rescue organisations.
However, even though rescue centres do what they can, the problem needs to be addressed on another level - that of breeders, pet stores & "I want that" people who will continue to fund the highly exploitative live animal trade industry.
