Today, we shine the spotlight on Linda C. Phiri, the Chief Operations Officer who is also a Chef and volunteering as a Culinary Facilitator, sharing her passion and skills in the kitchen with aspiring learners.

Madam Linda believes that empowering women is not just a cause, but a commitment to building stronger families, communities and nations. When women are supported and given equal opportunities, society thrives.

Guided by faith and compassion, commitment and leadership, she continues to inspire many women to believe in their potential and pursue opportunities that can transform their lives.

Dear Reader,

Don’t let people talk you out of what God spoke to you. If God wants you to do something different, He’ll tell you. You don’t have to rely on someone else to hear from God. Everyone is not who they say they are. This is where discernment comes in. The Scripture talks about testing the spirit. What is their track record? Do they have any fruit? Are there other people who can vouch for them? Don’t get caught up in their charisma, how articulate they are. “They look so impressive.” You have to go beyond face value. Listen to what you’re feeling on the inside. The Holy Spirit will warn you. They may look the part, sound the part, but you feel this uneasiness, this unrest, something says, “It’s not right.” Don’t ignore it. That’s the spirit of discernment helping you to know things that you can’t see. You can’t see motives. You can’t see intentions. But because of the integrity of your heart, God will keep you from making a mistake.

Sometimes, we’re waiting for people to change, and then we’ll accept them. “When they start doing right, then I’ll have a better opinion.” But God doesn’t ask us to clean ourselves up and then we can come to Him. He says, “Come just as you are, and I’ll help you get cleaned up.” God waited for us when we were off course. He showed us mercy when we weren’t at our best. Now we need to take that same mercy and show it to someone else.

Dear Reader,

Everything about you may say you’re ordinary, you’re average. “You can’t start that business; you’ll never write that book. You can’t break that addiction; everyone in your family struggles.” On your own that may be true. The good news is your Heavenly Father is a master mechanic. He’s about to give you more horsepower. You’re going to feel strength, determination, stamina that you’ve never felt. There’s going to be a new boldness, a greater confidence, a courage to step out and do things you’ve never done. You’re going to have more creativity, more wisdom, great ideas, and great favor. You’re about to go further than you thought. It’s going to happen faster than you think.
