πŸ₯©πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡² KCCI FUNDRAISING & NETWORKING BRAAI | ELYSIUM BY BLU HAVEN, KAFUE πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²πŸ₯©

It was a great honour to join the Kafue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) this afternoon as Guest of Honour at the Fundraising and Networking Braai.

Thank you to the President of KCCI, Mr Reeves Kapalu, the KCCI Executive, Captains of Industry, Entrepreneurs and all our partners for bringing together businesses in support of a shared vision for Kafue.

As we commemorate Zambia’s 62nd Independence Anniversary under the theme β€œOur Journey, Our Growth, Our Future,” we are reminded that independence must also be reflected in the opportunities we create, the industries we build, and the jobs we create for our people.

OUR JOURNEY
Kafue has always been a town of hard work and enterprise. From our farmers, to our traders, to our industrialists, Kafue has contributed to Zambia’s growth for 62 years.

OUR GROWTH
This year, Government has given us the Grow Zambia Agenda, championed by His Excellency, President Hakainde Hichilema.

Grow Zambia is about moving from stabilisation to production. Growing our economy by more than double by 2031, through production, jobs and exports.

Targets β€” 10-10-5-3-3-1-1-1:
10 million tonnes maize, 10,000 megawatts electricity, 5 million tourists, 3 million tonnes copper, 3 million tonnes soya, 1 million tonnes wheat, 1 million tonnes sugar, and US$1 billion in beef exports.

Kafue must not be left behind. We have land, we have water, we have hardworking people, and we have a strategic location. This is our time to grow.

OUR FUTURE
When we support KCCI, we support local businesses. When we support local businesses, we create jobs for our youths and women.

Let us:
βœ… Support KCCI and its programmes
βœ… Buy from each other, support local
βœ… Mentor our young entrepreneurs
βœ… Work together with Government to grow Kafue

As your MP for Kafue West, I reaffirm my commitment to work with KCCI, with Government, and with all of you, to make Kafue a hub for business and investment.

Thank you for a fruitful fundraising and wonderful networking braai.

Happy 62nd Independence Anniversary!

God Bless KCCI. God Bless Kafue. God Bless Zambia.

Kafue West
