“Take up the cross, and follow me” Mark 10:21 You have not the making of your own cross, although unbelief is a master carpenter at cross-making; neither are you permitted to choose your own cross, although self-will would fain be lord and master; but your cross is prepared and appointed for you by divine love, and you are cheerfully to accept it; you are to take up the cross as your chosen badge and burden, and not to stand cavilling at it. This night Jesus bids you submit your shoulder to his easy yoke. Do not kick at it in petulance, or trample on it in vain-glory, or fall under it in despair, or run away from it in fear, but take it up like a true follower of Jesus. Jesus was a cross-bearer; he leads the way in the path of sorrow. Surely you could not desire a better guide! And if he carried a cross, what nobler burden would you desire? The Via Crucis is the way of safety; fear not to tread its thorny paths. Beloved, the cross is not made of feathers, or lined with velvet, it is heavy and galling to disobedient shoulders; but it is not an iron cross, though your fears have painted it with iron colours, it is a wooden cross, and a man can carry it, for the Man of sorrows tried the load. Take up your cross, and by the power of the Spirit of God you will soon be so in love with it, that like Moses, you would not exchange the reproach of Christ for all the treasures of Egypt. Remember that Jesus carried it, and it will smell sweetly; remember that it will soon be followed by the crown, and the thought of the coming weight of glory will greatly lighten the present heaviness of trouble. The Lord help you to bow your spirit in submission to the divine will ere you fall asleep this night, that waking with to-morrow’s sun, you may go forth to the day’s cross with the holy and submissive spirit which becomes a follower of the Crucified.
Good evening.
ROMANS 3:10-12
it is written, " none is righteous, no, not one, no one understands, no one seeks for God, all have turned aside, together they have become worthless, no one does good, not even one.

We as the church at Garneton east chapel, were blessed today by our brethren in the Lord from Kitwe chapel. Kitwe chapel blessed members of Garneton east chapel with Bibles.
We are so grateful to the Lord for gifting us the His Word through our brethren at Kitwe chapel.
We seek partnership as we labour in the Lord's vineyard. You can do this by praying for us, joining us in evangelisim on Saturdays, coming to encourage us on Sunday at minsenga school at 15:00 where we hold our Weekly bible studies, etc.
We were blessed by the presence of mama Chioni, ( pastor Gershom Chioni's wife, pastor at Kitwe chapel), the presence of the Silwambas and PIZ students.
“Perfect in Christ Jesus”
Colossians 1:28
Do you not feel in your own soul that perfection is not in you? Does not every day teach you that? Every tear which trickles from your eye, weeps “imperfection;” every harsh word which proceeds from your lip, mutters “imperfection” You have too frequently had a view of your own heart to dream for a moment of any perfection in yourself. But amidst this sad consciousness of imperfection, here is comfort for you—you are “perfect in Christ Jesus” In God’s sight, you are “complete in him;” even now you are “accepted in the Beloved” But there is a second perfection, yet to be realized, which is sure to all the seed. Is it not delightful to look forward to the time when every stain of sin shall be removed from the believer, and he shall be presented faultless before the throne, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing? The Church of Christ then will be so pure, that not even the eye of Omniscience will see a spot or blemish in her; so holy and so glorious, that Hart did not go beyond the truth when he said— “With my Saviour’s garments on, Holy as the Holy One” Then shall we know, and taste, and feel the happiness of this vast but short sentence, “Complete in Christ” Not till then shall we fully comprehend the heights and depths of the salvation of Jesus. Does not your heart leap for joy at the thought of it? Black as you are, you shall be white one day; filthy as you are, you shall be clean. Oh, it is a marvellous salvation ! Christ takes a worm and transforms it into an angel; Christ takes a black and deformed thing and makes it clean and matchless in his glory, peerless in his beauty, and fit to be the companion of seraphs. O my soul, stand and admire this blessed truth of perfection in Christ.
Good evening.
“For me to live is Christ”
Philippians 1:21
The believer did not always live to Christ. He began to do so when God the Holy Spirit convinced him of sin, and when by grace he was brought to see the dying Saviour making a propitiation for his guilt. From the moment of the new and celestial birth the man begins to live to Christ. Jesus is to believers the one pearl of great price, for whom we are willing to part with all that we have. He has so completely won our love, that it beats alone for him; to his glory we would live, and in defence of his gospel we would die; he is the pattern of our life, and the model after which we would sculpture our character. Paul’s words mean more than most men think; they imply that the aim and end of his life was Christ—nay, his life itself was Jesus. In the words of an ancient saint, he did eat, and drink, and sleep eternal life. Jesus was his very breath, the soul of his soul, the heart of his heart, the life of his life. Can you say, as a professing Christian, that you live up to this idea? Can you honestly say that for you to live is Christ? Your business—are you doing it for Christ? Is it not done for self- aggrandizement and for family advantage? Do you ask, “Is that a mean reason?” For the Christian it is. He professes to live for Christ; how can he live for another object without committing a spiritual adultery? Many there are who carry out this principle in some measure; but who is there that dare say that he has lived wholly for Christ as the apostle did? Yet, this alone is the true life of a Christian—its source, its sustenance, its fashion, its end, all gathered up in one word—Christ Jesus. Lord, accept me; I here present myself, praying to live only in you and to you. Let me be as the bullock which stands between the plough and the altar, to work or to be sacrificed; and let my motto be, “Ready for either".
Matthew 28:18-20
[18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
" THE GREAT COMMISSION"
The great commission is the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to all Christians to spread the Gospel to all corners of the world for the purpose of making disciples for Christ.
One of the churches that has taken this command serious is " KITWE CHAPEL". Through the leadership of Kitwe chapel, and the participation of church members, the church has spread the Gospel across the townships of Kitwe and beyond. This has resulted in planting Churches like " RIVER SIDE CHAPEL, NKANA EAST, NDRKE VILLAGE, CHACHACHA AND CHIMWEMWE CHAPELS"
The leadership of Kitwe chapel have not said" it's over,we have run the race, we have finished the work, and now we have to go to sleep, no!" To them the command of our Lord Jesus Christ of the great commission is as if it has just been commanded. They have continued to send out preachers to spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus.they have started a new work in Garneton East, planting the church under the name of GARNETON EAST CHAPEL.
Kitwe residents, don't you think you should partner with Kitwe chapel in ensuring that the work is done smoothly? You can get involved by praying for the work,by joining the Evangelistic team that conducts Bible studies with GARNETON EAST CHAPEL members every Sunday in the afternoon at Minsenga primary school at 15:00hrs and by joining them in the streets every Saturdays to evangelize.
PROCLAMATION INSTITUTE ZAMBIA has partnered with them already by providing two 2017 graduates in Bible theology to be part of the Evangelistic team.
Remember, there is a reward to those who do the will of God; HEBREWS 10:36-37.
