CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE KAIZEN SEMINAR FOR LUSAKA BASED MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES AND COOPERATIVES
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED), in partnership with Kaizen Institute of Zambia Limited and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will hold a transformative Kaizen seminar. The seminar aims to equip participants with essential Kaizen tools and methodologies to identify and address operational challenges effectively. The training will focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement among the participating SMEs by introducing practical Kaizen techniques.
The seminar is open to eligible Lusaka based micro, small and medium sized enterprises and cooperatives in the following sectors.
• Agro processing;
• Textiles;
• light manufacturing i.e metal fabrication ;
• Leather and leather goods;
• wood and wood processing; and
• Tourism related business.
Eligibility
• Growth oriented enterprises with a demonstrated commitment to improve and/or expand
• Registered Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
• The Enterprise should have operations based in Lusaka.
• Post revenue business with minimum two years traction.
• Women and Youth owned enterprises/cooperatives are encouraged to apply.
Application
Applications can only be made by owners/shareholders and top management of the business. The application period will run from 16th to 20th June 2025. Applicants are requested to complete the application in full and submit the requested documents. Application for participation is K100.00 PER PERSON. The participation fee should be deposited in the Kaizen Institute of Zambia Bank account whose details will be shared to the shortlisted participants by 20th June, 2025. Applicants are encouraged to report any person requesting for application fees to the Zambia Police other than Kaizen Institute of Zambia after shortlisting.

Kaizen Institute of Zambia Concludes First Introductory Kaizen Consultant Training for 2025.
The Kaizen Institute of Zambia (KiZ) today successfully concluded its first cohort of Introductory-Level Kaizen Consultant Training, aimed at building foundational knowledge in continuous improvement practices. The hybrid training program was attended by 14 participants—8 in person and 6 virtual — from various sectors. The course introduced core Kaizen principles, including the PDCA cycle, 5S methodology, and basic problem-solving tools, equipping participants with essential skills to drive productivity and process improvements in their institutions. The Kaizen Institute of Zambia (KiZ) is committed to contributing to Zambia’s socio-economic transformation by supporting the implementation of the 8th National Development Plan (8NDP). Through its training of consultants in continuous improvement practices, KiZ aims to strengthen national capacity for operational excellence, directly aligning with the 8NDP’s key pillars of economic transformation, job creation, and human and social development.
