🔥 Hot to very hot conditions are expected across Zambia this afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 34°C to 42°C.

🌦️ Isolated light showers are possible around Chadiza, Katete and Vubwi, while most areas will experience partly cloudy, hazy and hot conditions.

🌡️ Yesterday’s highest temperature: 43°C at Mfuwe.

💧 Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and follow official weather updates.

WEATHER FAMILY REPORT: THURSDAY , 22 OCTOBER 2026

EXTREME HEAT REPORTED IN SEVERAL DISTRICTS, WHILE THUNDER AND LIGHT RAIN WERE REPORTED ELSEWHERE

Weather Family, here is your very own weather report, compiled from observations shared by you our followers across different locations!

NORTHERN PROVINCE – KASAMA
Extremely hot conditions are being reported, with no signs of rain according to residents.

COPPERBELT PROVINCE – KITWE
Very hot conditions are being experienced, with one resident describing the weather as “burning hot.”

WESTERN PROVINCE – LIMULUNGA
Hot to very hot conditions have been reported by residents.

WESTERN PROVINCE – NKEYEMA
Thunder is being heard. Residents are encouraged to monitor conditions and take precautions in case thunderstorms develop.

CENTRAL PROVINCE – LUNTE AND KATUBA, CHIBOMBO DISTRICT
Very hot conditions are being reported, accompanied by a few clouds and persistent sunshine.

CENTRAL PROVINCE – MUMBWA
Residents in the West Nambala area describe the heat as intense, with hot conditions even making it uncomfortable to sleep outdoors.

SOUTHERN PROVINCE – MONZE
A little rain has been reported, with conditions described by a resident as lukewarm afterwards.

LUSAKA
Residents have reported discomfort due to the heat, including restless nights. Light cotton clothing, drinking extra water and using a fan were shared as some of the ways people are coping.

KAFUE
Extremely hot conditions are being reported, with residents humorously describing their homes as microwaves!

BEYOND OUR BORDERS – MAZOWE, ZIMBABWE
Very hot conditions have also been reported by a resident in Mazowe.
