Tour of Eastern
The Zambia Police Service Commission (ZPSC) undertook a tour of Eastern Province from the 11th to 24th of May, 2025 to deal with Police and Immigration staff and related matters. The delegation was led by the Commission Chairperson who was accompanied by the Vice-Chairperson, five (5) Commissioners, the Deputy Commission Secretary and eight (8) Secretariat staff. Six (06) officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security, two (02) officers from Zambia Police Headquarters, and two (02) officers from Immigration Department .
PURPOSE AND SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE TOUR
The main purpose of the tour was to confirm, promote, transfer, and deal with disciplinary and appeal cases in the Division/Region. The Commission also set out to sensitize Police and Immigration officers on the new Terms and Conditions of Service for the Public Service (May 2023), and to provide updates on the implementation of the Job Evaluation, Regrading and Grading (JERG) exercise in the Immigration Department and prospects for undertaking the same in the Police Service. Further, the tour also provided an opportunity for interactions with senior officers and making them appreciate the present times, so that their actions could be in harmony with the provisions of the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2016, the Acts of Parliament, related non-legislative documents and Cabinet Circulars that are issued from time to time.
PLACES VISITED
The Commission visited the Eastern Police Divisional Headquarters and Immigration Regional offices in Chipata. Other districts visited included, Petauke, Katete, Lumezi and Lundazi while Border Controls toured included Lundazi and Lusuntha in Chasefu.

TOUR OF CENTRAL PROVINCE

The Zambia Police Service Commission (ZPSC) undertook a Tour of Central Province from 13th January to 28th January, 2025. The major activities that characterized the tour were sensitization on Human Resource Management Reforms and interactions with the officers in order for the Commissioners to familiarize themselves with the conditions and environment in which the Zambia Police Service and Immigration Officers operate.
The Zambia Police Service Commission delegation comprised Seven (7) Commissioners, nine (9) officers from Secretariat and support staff, four (04) Officers from Zambia Police Service-Headquarters, five (05) officers from Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security and six (06) officers from Immigration Department bringing the total number to Thirty-One (31) delegates
