International relations and Diplomacy association president Ambassador Maxwell left for Senegal Africa Food Systems Forum
He said that they had arrived in Dakar for the 2025 AFS Summit, and he was deeply honored that AGRA had made that journey possible. He mentioned that his travels that year had taken him across Africa and the Americas, and each step had reaffirmed his belief in the power of youth to drive meaningful change.
He reported that at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Dakar, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye had emphasized that Africa had all it needed to become self-sufficient in food and could help feed the whole world. Ambassador Banda noted that President Paul Kagame of Rwanda had urged them to move from talking to doing and that the youth must step up and match their demands with real action.
Ambassador Banda stated that these statements resonated deeply with him and fueled his commitment to advancing youth-led transformation. He carried the responsibility of amplifying youth voices and promoting collaborations that transcended borders. He added that the first day of the summit had been a powerful reminder that they were not merely participants but active contributors to the future they envisioned. He was there not just to learn but to engage, collaborate, and act.
