‎We are grateful to all the delegates who participated in yesterday's General Assembly which validated President Hakainde Hichilema's party presidency and candidature for the presidential election in August as well as ushering in a new National Management Committee.

‎Our focus is on consolidating leadership and structures ahead of the 13th August, 2026 General Election in unity and discipline within the rank and file.

‎The General Assembly we successfully held is a clear testimony to the people of Zambia that, our party respects the rule of law by adhering to the internal electoral process.

‎We therefore call upon all political parties in the opposition to embrace internal democracy by holding their conventions in respect with the law.

‎As the party in Lusaka, we have reaffirmed our commitment to support the re-election bid of our able leader, President Hichilema in the upcoming polls.

‎Today we welcomed to our great party, Mr Lee Mukupa the PF Muchinga Ward Councillor in Matero Constituency, who joined with more than 2000 rank and file membership from the faction.

‎Mr Mukupa who cited our party in government's remarkable demonstrated political maturity, discipline and unity whilst in opposition and currently in power as some of the reasons for him and his team joining us, expressed confidence that President Hakainde Hichilema will easily win the 13th August election owing to development through the increased and decentralised Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

‎We equally reminded our new members on how President Hichilema has enabled free education, school bursaries including the School Feeding Programme (SFP) which has enhanced concentration and retention for children in schools.

‎Our clarion call remains consistent to opposition members for them to come and work with us, as we develop the nation in peace and unity thereby; improving people's livelihoods under the able leadership of President Hichilema who is working very hard in a systematic and methodical way.

‎It's in this same vein that we extended an olive branch to our brother, Hon Given Lubinda to come back home as our party in government is making Zambia better for all devoid of tribe, political affiliation or religion.

‎And also, we urged our members to embrace those who are joing us and work together for the betterment of our country.

‎We are equally aware of some health personnel at Matero Level One Hospital who are frustrating government's effort in service delivery and to that effect, will engage the Minister of Health over the matter.
