Its such a pity that the minister of Health, Hon. Sylvia Masebo appeared shocked at the living conditions of Zambians, telling people to go to the village like she doesn't know that that is the living conditions of the majority of the Zambian population, surely madam minister weren't you campaigning in these same compounds, during campaigns it was okay for those people to live in those compounds in that very state, when you and your party leaders were making false promises to improve their living conditions. Suddenly they are beneath you and you without empathy to their plight you decide to patronize them when you can clearly see they have been hit by cholera and need help, kicking people when they are down surely. Will talking them down or belittling them solve the cholera problem?
Cholera centers are running out of IVs/drips, UTH has no working machines, the radiotherapy machine at the cancer hospital has been down, should the whole country go to the village.
I think you have spoken and shouted a lot and yet you have said nothing ,its time you acted, implement the UPND's health policies, what are they even? You are the minister of health madam and this Cholera issue is your responsibility and instead of shifting blame, please take charge!

RETHINKING AND MODERNIZING OUR MATERO LIBRARY
Growing up in Matero, the one place my brother and I loved going to was the public library along kazembe road, yes we did read lol apart from going ku video,kwa piyo and ku continental (near kizito basic), and playing football pa kalukungu, we read quite a lot. My brother David convinced a couple of our friends to join us on our usual library visits. It was a good place to study from especially that most, if not all of us grew up in very small council houses with no place or even a table to study from.
I had just learned how to read in my 2nd grade (I think), I found the Public library very helpful especially in improving my reading, it had a children’s section with very good and interesting books such as the junior African writers series and more, it was right in this library that I read about KK and other freedom fighters, speaking of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, it makes me feel so proud of how thoughtful and caring our founding father (MHSRIP) was to even ensure a good reading culture for all, he built a modern society with a library in each area.
Sad that this historical library is no longer in the good state as it was when I was growing up, not only is the actual building dilapidated but also most of the books are obsolete. It is one important place that seems to have been easily forgotten.
One of my key TO-DO-LIST as MP is to revamp this good place, our heritage, I’ll ensure it is loaded with good, relevant and modern books. I will make sure the children’s section has good books such as the lady bird series for example.
The one thing I’ll do, that always crosses my mind whenever I pass by that library is to modernize it, many people, when asked about libraries, imagine an old building with poor lighting and endless rows of heavy wooden old books on shelves, with funny smell.
I will ensure it becomes a modern resource center with on-site resources that includes;
• e-books and magazines,
• job-hunting assistance,
