1 November 2025 was a day of fitness and fun at Necbrick! Our stakeholders took a break from brickmaking to focus on wellness at Alexander Sports Club in Harare. Eaurobics, Zumba, soccer, netball, health screenings, and insightful talks - it was a wellness extravaganza. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it a memorable day.

Day 2 of our staff training at Antelope Park in Gweru was an adrenaline rush. On 23rd October 2025, we traded laptops for adventure! Our team had a blast with:
Zip lining through the skies
Revving up quad bikes
Exploring the wildlife on a game drive
Speed boating & jet-skiing
Unwinding with a relaxing boat cruise and
A chat with elephants 😃
These fun activities brought out the best in our team, fostering camaraderie and teamwork. We're grateful for this experience and the memories we've created together.

Day 1 of our 2-day staff training at Antelope Park in Gweru was impactful. On 22nd October 2025, our team dove into a range of topics to enhance our skills and collaboration, We explored:
Stress and emotional intelligence,
Design thinking and problem-solving,
Team dynamics and collaboration techniques,
Workplace diversity and team inclusion,
Navigating change as a team,
Time management and conflict resolution strategies,
Financial wellness, budgeting, and retirement

The NEC for the Brickmaking and Clay Products Industry board members for 2025 were trained at Mavuna Lodes in Bulawayo. The training covered board operations, understanding financial performance, corporate governance & business ethics and risk management. It is crucial for the Council to invest in equipping it's board members for:
-enhanced decision making
-regulatory compliance and best practices
-risk identification and mitigation
-improved accountability and transparency
-enhancing organisational resilience and ensuring long-term success.

The NEC for the Brickmaking and Clay Products Industry officially launched the Bulawayo Branch on the 21st of August 2025. The event was graced by officials from the Ministry of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare, delegates from other NECs and representatives from companies within Bulawayo. The guest of honour for the event, Mrs. S. Afia, the Provincial Labour Administration Officer for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province commended the NEC for the Brickmaking and Clay Products Industry for the decentralisation of operations amongst other notable achievements throughout this year.
The General Secretary of the NEC, Mrs. E.R Munemo highlighted that this move demonstrates the NEC's resolve to adopt growth and fulfil stakeholder needs.
