UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY

Further to our update of 20 April 2026 regarding the incident at the water treatment plant:

We have engaged experts to assist with the motor drying. Following their assessment, they have advised that the affected motors be stripped and dried in their ovens to fully remove all moisture and ensure safe operation.

The expected time to complete this work is 8-10 hours from commencement. We are still operating with 3 of the 5 pumps, and pressure in the distribution system remains low during this period.

Our teams and the specialists are prioritising this work to restore full pumping capacity as quickly as possible. We will issue another update once the motors are reinstalled and back in service.
