Many thanks to everyone who attended the Second Quarter Full Council Meeting of 2026. The house was packed with an overflow
The meeting in brief:
Council has purchased a motorised grader, while procurement of other road maintenance equipment like a tipper truck, motorised bowser, roller is in progress and being expected in 30 days. Furniture for the Manjoro Primary School computer lab and building materials for toilets at Nyangani Primary School have also been procured. The Town clinic is expected to be completed in 3weeks.
Council resolved to grant war veterans, elders above 70 years, people with disabilities, and beneficiaries under estate administration some grace period to develop their stands to slab level before repossession measures are considered.
The DDC also discouraged the commercialization of communal land (“sabhuku deals”), while mobilisation for Tangwena Road rehabilitation is now at an advanced stage.

Council is inviting tenders for the sale of commercial stands in Nyanga town as per the attached advert.

Nyanga RDC is repossessing the following residential and commercial stands in Nyanga Town due to non-developments and under developments. The repossessions are being done in terms of Full Council resolution number FC 103 of 27 February 2026. Any objections to repossession should be lodged with the undersigned within 14 days from the publication of this notice.

"Greetings colleagues, Today (Friday 8 May 2026), I was handed over litter bins by our local development partner CDTO on their project Elina- Enhanced Livelihoods and Nutrition Adaption.
We acknowledge partnering with NGOs or development partners for the good of our community today as we partake national clean-up campaign. We are delighted to be working together with champions and partners of smartness.
We continue to encourage our residents to avoid littering and also tourists and visitors to keep our Nyanga clean."
