It was a great pleasure to take part in the International Dialogue of Civilisations and Tolerance Conference, held in Abu Dhabi under the theme "The Impact of New Media and AI on Family and Community".
AI is a powerful and innovative tool that is reshaping the media landscape and enhancing the productivity of our economies. At the same time, it calls for stronger international cooperation among governments and greater public awareness of the opportunities and challenges it presents.

The 🇮🇹 National Day was celebrated at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, was the guest of honour. H.E. Ali Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Defence Communications at the UAE Ministry of Defence, was also present together with many high-level Emirati officials.
In his remarks, Ambassador Lorenzo Fanara highlighted that “a true friend reveals himself in times of need,” recalling that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was the first G7/G20 leader to visit the UAE during the conflict.
He also expressed his gratitude to the 🇦🇪 Armed Forces for their steadfast protection, and to the many 🇮🇹 companies that have chosen the UAE as their second home and generously supported the celebrations as sponsors.
Highlighting the resilience of the Italy–UAE partnership, Ambassador Fanara expressed confidence that both countries will emerge stronger, together.
To mark the occasion, the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, was illuminated with the colours of the Italian flag.
It was a privilege to celebrate this special occasion with more than 1000 guests, accompanied by a remarkable performance by the Youth Orchestra and Choir under the direction of Maestro Aldo Dotto, with the featuring of soloist Christian Caiazza, violinist of the UAE National Orchestra. Thanks to Sophie Fanara for singing the two national anthems.
