🎨 Ambassador Arthur Mattli was delighted to host Swiss-Dubai based artist Amrita Sethi at the Swiss Residence for an intimate vernissage of SoundSCAPES: Presents of Sound — a collection exploring identity, movement, and the fleeting present moment. 41 works, across physical, digital and generative mediums, brought a rare creative energy to our walls. A beautiful reminder that Switzerland's commitment to innovation extends well beyond technology — into art, expression, and the spaces in between. 🇨🇭✨

🇨🇭-Ambassador Arthur Mattli had the honour of attending the graduation ceremony of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah.
52 students - pianists, flutists, violinists and more - celebrated the culmination of years of dedication and artistic growth. A reminder that investing in education and the arts is investing in the future. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎶✨

💧 On the road to the UN Water Conference – Abu Dhabi 2026
Last Friday, Ambassador Arthur Mattli and the SDC Gulf Team hosted the SWUP (Sustainable Water-Use Platform) meeting at the Swiss Residence, bringing together key UAE stakeholders working at the forefront of water sustainability.

On 17 April 2026, 🇨🇭 Switzerland and 🇧🇭 Bahrain signed an Investment Protection Agreement. This milestone reinforces our economic cooperation and supports a stable, reliable framework for our businesses.

Last week, 🇨🇭 Ambassador Arthur Mattli hosted the Finance Group of the Swiss Business Council at the Swiss Residence for an informal exchange on the current economic environment. The Swiss companies , together with colleagues of the Embassy and the Swiss Business Hub Middle East, presented insights and lessons learned from the past few weeks and explored scenarios for the future together. 🤝
في الأسبوع الماضي، استضاف سعادة السفير 🇨🇭 أرثر ماتلي المجموعة المالية لمجلس الأعمال السويسري في الإقامة السويسرية، في لقاء غير رسمي حول المشهد الاقتصادي الراهن. وقد شارك ممثلو الشركات السويسرية، إلى جانب زملائهم من السفارة والمركز السويسري للأعمال في الشرق الأوسط، رؤاهم والدروس المستخلصة من الأسابيع الماضية، واستكشفوا معاً سيناريوهات المرحلة المقبلة. 🤝

🇨🇭🤝🇦🇪 Swiss Ambassador Arthur Mattli was received last week by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss concrete steps to deepen bilateral cooperation in the technology sector.
Ambassador Mattli also took note of Ras Al Khaimah's impressive resilience in the current regional circumstances.

Dear Swiss citizens,
Several national airlines are resuming limited operations at the international airports of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Airports in countries where airspace is currently open are gradually expanding their services in order to respond as effectively as possible to the needs of those presently stranded in the region.
Please remain in contact with your travel agency or airline to seek advice on available departure options. Should you decide to leave the region overland to a neighboring country, please allow sufficient time for travel and border crossings, check in advance which border posts are accessible as well as the applicable visa requirements, and proceed to the airport only with a confirmed ticket. The decision to depart remains your personal responsibility and travel costs must be borne by the individuals concerned.
We are aware that the situation is distressing for you and thank you for your patience. The FDFA is in close contact with the local authorities and with SWISS. In this context, additional transport options as well as alternative routes are being continuously assessed.
