< Korea Week 2013 in UAE >

The Korean Embassy in the UAE will be hosting a 3 days event called the ‘Korea Week 2013 in UAE’ from November 21 (Thu.) to 23 (Sat.), in the Abu Dhabi National Theater.

On the first day (Nov. 21) the ‘Korean Speech Contest’ will take place from 16:20 to 18:20 in the auditorium of the Abu Dhabi National Theater. Also, Taekwondo demonstration by the Akh unit, Emirati traditional performance, a collaboration performance by the Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra with Korea’s best b-boy team “Rivers Crew” will take place in the grand theater from 19:30.

The following Second day (Nov. 22) will contain a program called the ‘Korean Food Cooking Class’ from 16:50 to 18:20. Also, from 19:30, one of Korea’s leading non-verbal performance team ‘BIBAP’ will be performing.

On the last day (Nov. 23), Korea-UAE Youth Conversation will take place from 17:20 to 18:20. Korean movie “Tower” will be on screens from 19:30.

A two hours session from 17:30 to 19:30, promotional booths will be set up at the lobby of the National Theater, introducing various Korean cultures. Many sub-programs are also being prepared such as Hangeul calligraphy, IT promotion booth, photo exhibition of Korea tour sights, medical tour promotion booth, Korean agriculture promotion booth, as well as the Korean food tasting. The promotional booths will be open during the same hours over the 3-days event.

All events are free, and at the end of the 3-days event, there will be a chance to win a raffle prize of smart phones(LG Optimus G Pro, Samsung S4 mini), Infinite K-pop concert tickets(12.6, Dubai).

주UAE한국대사관은 오는 10월 28일(월) 19:30분, ‘아부다비 씨어터(Abu Dhabi Theater, breakwater)’에서 한국퓨전음악그룹 ‘공명’의 공연을 개최할 예정입니다. 이번 공연은 한국과 UAE 간 우호친선과 문화교류를 도모하고자 준비되었으며, 입장은 무료입니다.

The 1st UAE Korean Speech Contest (for non-native Korean speakers) will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Theater on 21 November. King Sejong Institute U.A.E and the Korean Embassy in the UAE are seeking competitors for the competition.
