The Embassy of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas wishes to advise that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Registration Form (MOFA–IBD) is currently active.

All Bahamian nationals residing in or travelling within the Middle East are encouraged to complete the short registration form at the link below:

The Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Abu Dhabi, along with officials from the Passport Office, engaged directly with members of the Bahamian diaspora as part of the Ministry’s initiative to expand access to essential passport and consular services for Bahamians abroad.

This passport initiative was held at the Embassy on 22 January 2026 and marked the official launch of passport and consular services for Bahamians residing within the GCC. Mrs. Sofia Ramsay Turner, Mr. Otero O’Bainyear, and Ms. Amy Bullard were among the first individuals to successfully enroll under the newly launched services.

The Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Abu Dhabi was honoured to receive Mr. Paul Strachan, Executive Director, Sustainability, Emerging Markets, and Special Projects. who paid a courtesy call on H.E. Tony Joudi, Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting provided an opportunity for constructive engagement and discussion on matters of mutual interest. Also present were Mr. Anthony Stuart, Senior Director of Emerging Markets; Mr. Dominic Gomez, Counsellor; and Ms. Prettia Dean, First Secretary.

His Excellency Tony Joudi, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sultan bin Abdullah Al Angari, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates, to discuss matters of mutual interest and further strengthen bilateral relations between The Bahamas and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Her Excellency Dr.Annalee Babb, Ambassador of Barbados to the United Arab Emirates, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Tony Joudi, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates.

The ambassadors discussed opportunities to strengthen regional collaboration, enhance Caribbean presence in the Gulf, and deepen bilateral ties between their respective Missions in the UAE.

His Excellency Tony Joudi, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United Arab Emirates at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Abu Dhabi.

Ambassador Joudi was accompanied by Mr. Eugene Poitier, Deputy Chief of Mission; Ms. Prettia Dean, First Secretary; and Ms. Lina Theraawi, Administrative Assistant of the Embassy of The Bahamas in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting underscored the commitment of The Bahamas and Qatar to enhancing bilateral relations and expanding areas of mutual cooperation.

Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates H.E Tony S. Joudi paid an official visit to Ras Al Khaimah, one of the UAE’s fastest-growing emirates. He met with His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi to explore areas of cooperation between The Bahamas and the UAE in technology, education, labour, and investment.
