Amb. John Mirenge joined more than 340 delegates at the 31st Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency, taking place in Abu Dhabi from 21–22 May. The Council convenes at a pivotal moment as the global membership discusses priorities shaping the next phase of the energy transition.

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in the United Arab Emirates wishes to inform the public that the Embassy and General Consulate will be closed on 25-29 May 2026, in observance of Eid Al Adha holidays.

Work will resume on 01 June 2026.

Today at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office in Dubai, Ambassador John Mirenge met with H.E. Mohammed Bin Talia, Assistant Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Government Knowledge Exchange Program. They commended the progress under the Program and discussed ways to accelerate the implementation of projects in the pipeline.

Today, Rwanda and the world come together to mark the 32nd Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. We honor the memory of more than one million innocent lives lost, stand in solidarity with survivors, and pay tribute to the courageous men and women who stopped the genocide, laying the foundation for Rwanda’s unity, resilience, and continued renewal.
As we remember, we reaffirm our collective responsibility to uphold the truth, preserve the memory, and commit to “Never Again.”

تجتمع رواندا والعالم اليوم لإحياء الذكرى الـ32 للإبادة الجماعية التي ارتُكبت عام ١٩٩٤ ضد التوتسي بتكريم ذكرى أكثر من مليون روح بريئة أُزهقت، والتضامن مع الناجين، والإشادة بشجاعة الرجال والنساء الذين أوقفوا الإبادة الجماعية، واضعين بذلك حجر الأساس لوحدة رواندا وصمودها ونهضتها المستمرة.
وإذ نستذكر هذه المأساة، نؤكد من جديد مسؤوليتنا الجماعية في نصرة الحق، وتخليد الذكرى، والالتزام بشعار "لن تتكرر أبدًا".

Today, Amb. John Mirenge paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. They commended the growing collaboration between Rwanda and , particularly in key infrastructure financing, and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening this partnership.
