Ahead of COP31 in Antalya, the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) convened the Road to COP31 Roundtable, bringing together government, international organizations and private-sector leaders to support businesses in understanding the COP process and identifying pathways for meaningful participation.
The dialogue was joined by H.E. Dr. Alanoud Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of Green Development & Climate Change; Onur Şaylan, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Waleed Bin Salman, Vice Chairman of WGEO; Abdulrahim Sultan, Director General of WGEO; and Luca Brusa from the UNFCCC Secretariat, alongside representatives from across the public and private sectors.
Discussions explored what businesses can expect at COP31 and opportunities for engagement, with participants sharing priorities, expertise and solutions across water, clean and renewable energy, circular economy and waste management, climate finance, investment and partnerships.
The roundtable provided a platform to connect private-sector capabilities with the global climate agenda and explore practical avenues for businesses to contribute to COP31 discussions and activities.
WGEO looks forward to continuing this dialogue on the road to Antalya.
