With the commencement of the Arabian Travel Market 2024, we are pleased to share that Dubai's tourism sector has started the year on a promising note. The city welcomed close to 5.2 million international visitors in the first quarter of 2024, marking an 11% surge from the same period in 2023. Further, its hotels recorded an outstanding occupancy rate of 83%, ranking among the highest globally. Dubai remains committed to delivering an exceptional tourism experience, aligned with the goal of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to establish Dubai’s position as one of the world's top three cities for tourism.

Today, I attended celebrations marking the 48th anniversary of the unification of our armed forces. I was proud to present medals to distinguished senior officers and members of the armed forces. I salute the brave men and women, who serve as guardians of our homeland. Your dedication inspires all of us.

Today, I attended the awarding ceremony of the inaugural Global Prompt Engineering Championship, which received thousands of entries from 100 countries around the world. Congratulations to the three winners of the championship. Looking ahead, the next edition of the championship will be expanded to include new categories. We also announced the launch of an ambitious initiative to train one million people in AI prompt engineering skills. This programme, supervised by the Dubai Future Foundation, reflects Dubai’s commitment to contribute to accelerating global innovation and economic growth.
