✈️ A Big Relief for Travellers – Thanks to the Strong Intervention of KC Venugopal MP

In a time when skyrocketing airfares were burdening ordinary travellers and expatriates, KC Venugopal, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, rose to the occasion with unwavering commitment. His persistent efforts have now led the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to introduce a new system to regulate and standardize airfare rates across India.

For months, KC Venugopal consistently raised this issue in Parliament and various official forums, drawing attention to the exploitative pricing strategies—particularly during holidays and festive seasons. He was a voice for thousands of low-income expatriates, especially from the Gulf region, who were paying exorbitant amounts just to visit their families.

Despite delays and bureaucratic inertia, he remained relentless. It is due to his firm advocacy that the DGCA has finally responded by initiating a structured monitoring mechanism to curb unfair practices and ensure transparent, reasonable pricing.

This is a shining example of people-centric leadership. KC Venugopal’s resolute stand has brought tangible hope to countless families across India and abroad. When leaders truly represent the people’s voice, real change becomes possible.

It was an honour for Dr. Arathi Krishna, AICC Secretary, to meet the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Italy, Hon’ble Antonio Tajani, at a special dinner hosted by the Ambassador of Italy to India, H.E. Antonio Bartoli, at his residence in New Delhi.

The evening was marked by a warm exchange of thoughts and a meaningful conversation on strengthening ties and fostering international cooperation.
