In September 2009, Dubai Metro began its journey with the launch of the Red Line, followed by the introduction of the Green Line two years later. Dubai Metro has achieved remarkable milestones throughout the years, catering to over 2 billion users. Today, Mohammed bin Rashid marks a new chapter in Dubai's development and sustainable transportation by approving the 30km Blue Line for the Dubai Metro, featuring 14 stations. The line spans Dubai Creek and hosts the metro network's largest underground station. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the Roads and Transport Authority team led by Mattar Al Tayer for their dedication in strengthening Dubai's global leadership in infrastructure, playing a significant role in achieving the objectives outlined in Dubai's economic agenda, D33.

With HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we launched the development phase of Sirb, marking the UAE’s pioneering venture into satellite radar technologies, with the inaugural launch of the first radar satellite slated for 2026. This milestones achievement reflects a pivotal chapter in the UAE’s space exploration, steered by the UAE Space Agency, fostering synergy between national programs, our thriving industrial sector, and dynamic collaboration with startups, entrepreneurs, and academic institutions.

The Dubai Airshow, a global success story shaped by the great vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, continues to inspire new possibilities for the aerospace and aviation industry. Together with my brother Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we welcomed official delegations attending the largest edition in the event’s history. Bringing together 1,400 exhibitors from 148 countries, the event showcases cutting-edge aerospace innovations and solutions. Emirates and flydubai have announced deals for 125 new aircraft, valued at over AED231 billion, showcasing the event’s potential to unlock new opportunities that can transform the exciting future of Dubai and the UAE’s aerospace and aviation sector.
