مقتطفات من فعالية الإعلان عن "مبادرة الخير المستدام"، التي أطلقها بنك الإمارات للطعام ومؤسسة "دي بي ورلد" الخيرية، الذراع الخيري لمجموعة موانئ دبي العالمية "دي بي ورلد"، بالتعاون مع بلدية دبي، وجمارك دبي، وموانئ دبي العالمية.
وتهدف المبادرة إلى الحد من الهدر الغذائي عبر إدارة الشحنات الغذائية المتروكة في ميناء جبل علي وإعادة توزيع الصالح منها للاستهلاك.
ومن المتوقع أن توفّر المبادرة أكثر من مليون وجبة غذائية، وتخفّض الانبعاثات الكربونية بأكثر من 3.09 مليون كجم خلال السنوات الثلاث المقبلة.

Highlights from the launch of the “Sustainable Goodness” initiative, introduced by the UAE Food Bank and the DP World Foundation, the charitable arm of DP World Group, in collaboration with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Customs, and DP World.

The initiative aims to reduce food waste by recovering abandoned food shipments at Jebel Ali Port and redistributing those suitable for consumption.

Over the next three years, the initiative is expected to provide more than 1 million meals and reduce carbon emissions by more than 3.09 million kg.
