The power of giving is much more than the power of receiving. Recipient becomes the giver in future and that power multiplies. With our expansion from books to laptops and board games has created more teamwork and learning opportunities for the students and attracted them to attend school regularly. Situated in the heart of Kawangare Slums, Keds Care Community School teaches 200 primary school students. They recently received a 600 books library and our 114th one. We just loved seeing the glitter in their eyes and smile on their faces as they held up the books in awe.

Happy World Book Day! A day that we would like to see books in the hands of all children and not just a few who can afford and access them.

Our 113th Library was inaugurated at
Mary Immaculate Rehabilitation Centre. The centre was established in 1987 to focus on rehabilitation of unfortunate children from the streets, orphans and abandoned. The centre provides them with shelter, food and a chance to get basic education. Currently, there are 100 street boys cared for at the centre. They only admits boys from 6 to 16 years of age, who then graduate. They solely depend on donations from well-wishers to be able to sustain the well-being of the children. Lions Club of Nairobi Phoenix donated 1000 educational and reading books led by lion Tejinder Singh to support their education and literacy.

Welcome to our 111th library in Glory Learning Center in the Donholm area of Nairobi. The 763 school kids from pre-primary to junior high will benefit from the gift of literacy with the 1,050 books now in their library. A dream come true for all those children and their school.
